Invited to participate at the 2nd International Conference on Roads & Environment, the elected Ambassadors gathered in the IRF office to discuss their first experience as our representatives. The Ambassadors, coming from a variety of countries, reported on the most important challenges faced by the road sector in their respective countries.

The road sector is going through an unprecedented period of restructuring. Countries are improving management of their road networks, introducing private sector finance, setting up new style road funds and changing the way they set spending priorities and manage their roads. IRF World Road Conference 2010 launched – MoU signed

 

The IRF World Road Conference 2010, which will be held from 25-28 May 2010 in Lisbon-Portugal, has been launched on 11 November 2008 in Geneva, Switzerland. The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Centro Rodoviario Portugues, the host of the WRM2010, and the IRF (Geneva and Brussels) marked the beginning of the organizational period.
