“Green Public Procurement & Brussels, Belgium - 20 September 2011 |
|||||
We would like to inform you that the event will now be held on 20 September in Brussels. The European Commission is hosting a conference end of June on the reform of public procurement. The study day will thus take stock from that debate and bring the reflection one step forward by specifically looking at Green Public Procurement (GPP) and the road sector. The concept of Green Public Procurement has been widely recognised in recent years as a useful tool for simultaneously driving the market for greener products and services and reducing the environmental impacts inherent in the activities of public authorities. To what extent might such a concept be relevant and useful to those engaged in the road sector? We hope that you will be able to join us in Brussels to learn from the latest experience worldwide and dynamically explore the potential contribution of GPP in the road sector. Featuring in the programme:
There are no registration fees but places are limited.
