Dear [fname],
We are pleased to present the latest edition of the IRF Newsletter. Quite a number of activities have kept us busy right after the summer break and we are happy to provide you with a quick overview of what has been and what is yet to come:
  • The 5th Regional Conference for Africa organized jointly by IRF and the South African Roads Federation (SARF) has proved to be the flagship event for the road sector in the African region.
  • The IRF Board of Directors has approved in Pretoria last month an exciting and rich programme of activities for 2014-2015. Road Safety will be at centre stage next year with two Ministerial gatherings organized respectively in March and in May at IRF events in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) and Sydney (Australia).
  • The IRF World Road Statistics 2014 edition will be released in only two weeks and promises to be a great complement to the 50th Anniversary edition published last year.
  • The next Michelin Challenge Bibendum will take place in Chengdu, China on 11-16 November 2014. IRF & FIA (Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile) will join hands for a side event on “Building Happy Cities – Meeting the Challenge of Urban Mobility”.
