Query on tunnel construction projects under about PPP or DB schemes

In the last years Netivei Israel has executed several tunnel construction projects. The costing method for the contractor takes into consideration the various characteristics and conditions of the rock that the constructor should pass (drill/bore) through.

We are interested in learning about the methods used by other road authorities and organizations which are implemented in DB and/or PPP projects and include the following:

  • Costing method which takes the different characteristics of the rock into consideration and copes with the uncertainty of the state of the rock.
  • Method for approving the payment to the contractor.

We would be grateful if you could distribute this request to the appropriate contact person(s) in your organization. We’d appreciate any information you can provide as soon as possible.
