IRF Webinar: ITS Education: a dedicated platform?

24 September 2014 - 24 September 2014

Time: 15.00h CET – 90 minutes

During the 18th ITS World Congress in Tokyo, 2013, the International Road Federation (IRF) raised the idea of establishing a platform to address the topic of ITS education. An initial circle of academic institutions expressed their interest, such as the Polytechnic University of Torino (Italy), Technical University of Vienna (Austria), University of Tampere (Finland), University of Leeds (United Kingdom), to mention a few.

Over summer 2014, the IRF has organised an online survey to assess the ITS sector’s interest in a dedicated platform addressing the topic of ITS education.

The IRF is now inviting you to a webinar, where it will share the results of the survey, which was responded to by over 150 ITS professionals from 45+ countries. It will provide you with the insights and suggestions that came out of the survey responses, such as the potential activities that the platform should perform, proposed structureand the collaboration with other initiatives and institutions that were suggested.

Furthermore the webinar will feature a number of presentations from high level speakers from the academic sector to share their views on what collaboration on ITS education can entail.

The webinar will provide you with the unique opportunity to share your thoughts on a dedicated platform on ITS Education and hear of leading sector professionals.
