Objectives

• The event will give the  participants a information about tools and ongoing initiatives under Pillar 2 “Safe roads and mobility”of the Decade of Action. It will also provide an opportunity to engage with major global road safety stakeholders and suggest actions to enhance the work under Pillar 2

Expected outcomes:

• Suggestions and ideas from the event will be used as input for the development ofan action plan to enhance the work under Pillar 2 of the Decade of Action Global Plan. The action plan will be further developed after the Global Conference, also building on the experience of multilateral development banks in road infrastructure safety, the MDB road safety guidelines, IRTADs road safety infrastructure safety management manual, and the World Road Association’s road safety manual. Format:Presentations, suggestions and discussion.
