Activities in Kosovo supporting the 5th UN Global Road Safety Week

Requested by the United Nations General Assembly, the 5th UN Global Road Safety Week was held from 6-12 May 2019. This Week was focused on leadership for road safety. It is widely acknowledged that stronger leadership for road safety is needed to achieve the Global Goals. Therefore it launches action through the ongoing campaign: Save Lives - #SpeakUp.

SWARCO Relaunches Website

A crucial project within SWARCO's strategic marketing programs has culminated in the relaunch of the website. The new internet presence went live at the beginning of February and comes right in time for SWARCO's anniversary year. During the past eighteen months SWARCO has defined a new Corporate Policy and Brand Strategy including a new claim: SWARCO | The Better Way. Every Day. The new site has been developed taking into account a user-friendly content management system, a fresh graphic look and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) aspects. A lot of progress has also been made in SWARCO's Employer Branding activities, presenting the company as an attractive employer who is constantly looking for the best heads in the industry.

The 6th International Conference on “Inspection, Audit and Importance of Intelligent Transport Systems”

Highly aware of the importance of Inspection, Audit and Intelligent Transport Systems, College Tempulli, AMRKS, Road Safety and Transport Research Institute, Kosovo Road Safety Forum with support from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport organized the 6th International Conference on "Inspection, Auditing and importance of Intelligent Transport Systems" from 24 to 27 January 2019 in Pristina, Kosovo.

São Paulo State Highway Authority wins the Evonik Road Safety Award 2018

YOURS runs panel on "Meaningful Youth Engagement in Road Safety"

On 19 November 2018, YOURS co-organized a high-level international road safety conference in Malta. The Government of Malta and the European Regional Office of the World Health Organization asked YOURS to Chair and bring together a panel that would discuss meaningful youth engagement in designing a safe mobility system. In other words, discuss the importance of effective youth involvement in policymaking, implementation, and evaluation.

A new mobility strategy for Valle de Bravo with the participation of the community

SIA was awarded with a project in Valle de Bravo, Mexico. With local and regional centre of activities, this city has very active weekend activities and has been one of the main destinations for weekends for the inhabitants of Mexico City. Valle de Bravo is situated in the State of Mexico and is around 200 km from the city. There is a lake for sailing or other water activities and many kilometres of paths for hiking, cycling, and many other outdoor sports

The Global Alliance of NGOs to host its sixth Global Meeting

In April 2019, the Alliance will hold the Sixth Global Meeting of Nongovernmental Organizations Advocating for Road Safety and Road Victims (the Global Meeting) in Chania, Greece. The Global Meeting will be the most significant gathering of road safety NGOs and global stakeholders next year in the run-up to the end of the Decade of Action for Road Safety 2011–2020. It offers the opportunity to learn about road safety trends, participate in global campaigns, and network with like-minded professionals.

A new awareness campaign by Highways of Morocco (ADM)

ADM (Highways of Morocco) works every day to help Moroccan drive safely, it does that by implementing regularly a series of features, such as repairing pavement defects, maintaining the road safety and signage, rest area improvements and also developing a range of technologies related to traffic management system, like ADM Traffic app, message signs, cameras and speed limit enforcement. Some of these various features contribute to provide a valuable information to travellers about the road conditions ahead.

6th traditional activity “Road Safety” in Kosovo

This year, the College of Applied Technical Sciences “Tempulli” and Kosovo Association of Motorization “ARMKS” with the support from governmental institutions and other stakeholders  who have mandate for road safety organized for the sixth time the Traditional Activity “Road Safety”, which includes primary and secondary schools from various municipalities of Kosovo.

Modernization of roads in Serbia

Public Enterprise Roads of Serbia is pleased to announce that road users in Serbia increasingly use the Electronic Toll Collection with the number reaching more than 222'000. The number of HGV drivers using the Electronic Toll Collection has increased to 64% out of a total number of HGVs using tolled motorways.
